Raccoons are amazing little critters! They are very inquisitive and have extremely dexterous hands that they use to explore their world. Raccoons have been seen “washing their hands/food” in water. This behaviour is not for hygienic purposes, like humans. But rather, their hands have very sensitive nerve endings, and water can help them feel objects better!
